The predecessor of Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group was Jinduicheng Molybdenum Mine, established in 1958.The world-class large molybdenum deposit was discovered in 1955 among Qinling Mountains by Zhao Heng and other geologists from the 647 Geological Survey Team of Shaanxi Province.Designated as a national key project, its construction commenced at the beginning of the "Second Five-Year Plan" period. It was successively under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the Metallurgical Bureau of Shaanxi Province. After several organizational adjustments, it was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shaanxi Non-ferrous Metals Group in 2000.
